Sign for Our Prayer Room at Church

My pastor's wife asked me to make a sign for the prayer room at church. I took it to church this morning and put it by the Bible box that you can put prayer requests into; the colors of the prayer room are brown, gold and turquoise, so this was the color palate I used.

I printed the text out on my computer and cut it out on my Cricut machine with the Elegant Edges cartridge. All the framing is done with this cartridge, and each large layer is cut one inch smaller than the one below it. The smaller frame for the sentiment is cut in decreasing quarter inch increments, and each layer is made more 3-D by using dimensional stickies to make it pop. Then, I used the New Testament cartridge to make the cross. The brown cutout is laid over the gold shadow. I cut out the shadow from white cardstock and spray painted it. A pretty turquoise rhinestone embellishes the center of the cross. The layer underneath the cross and the framed text is another "cross" made of gold mesh ribbon. The sentiment is embellished with little gold pearls.

Here is the sign:

Romans 10:9-11
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
